Reverse ain't working now

Crash need your help bro. I got on car this evening and it want in reverse. I checked my wires and found black wire on the top stud on motor was loose and little melted. I fixed that. When I put f&r switch in reverse I got 36 v on the back side of solenoid on 4 and 18 on the main one. But when push the peddle nothing crosses over to front side on solenoids and 18 on main one.

I just replaced the f&r switch every thing is new except motor

87. It's the one I had to rewire

Just for sh*ts and giggles I swapped the wires on the f&r switch just to rule it out and it will go forward when switch is in reverse. Then switched them back.

still check it , wires too ... if reversing wires are working then it is the switch

where did you switch it at ?

Ok. Got it eBay. So with me switching the wires on switch and when I put cart in reverse it goes forward but when I put switch in toward it does not go backwards that would mean the switch is bad? Seems like to me if I swapped the reverse and forward wires on switch it would have gone backwards with switch in forward since I swapped wires, because when wires are in there normal spot it goes forward. So that seems like to me if the reverse side of the switch was bad it would have gone backwards with wires swapped.

A early club car like that, and it doesn't go in reverse..... its the switch.

Buy an OEM switch
