Alltrax dcx 400 D&D for PQ bandit
I have a 2011 club car precedent that came with a PQ bandit motor stock controller and it did 25mph. I recently bought a used Alltrax dcx400 made in 2005 , it was set up for a D&D motor I believe originally. I installed in my car and it was super jerky at first but mainly it is just overall slower 17 mph. Field map is on 6 , speed and power output are 100%. Anyone know why this could be? I have tried adjusting everything I can and nothing makes it faster.

Hopefully scottyb or one of the guys that used these controllers a lot will see this and help.
Have you checked the Altrax site? I know they have a plethora of information there. |

I hope the controller is not faulty, but see what the others come up with, but that is definitely strange.....

PQ and alltrax is an awesome combo, I have that same setup and get 32 mph peak with lots of torque, something is definitely wrong. Have you updated your alltrax software and tried again? Scotty is definitely the guy to talk to...

I know that the DCX controllers have been known to have throttle problems. I believe there is some sort of adapter available to change the throttle signal. An XCT would be the ultimate fix.

I'm regretting not doing that from the get go, but I wonder if it has something to do with the fact this was originally set up for a d&d motor,

Re: Alltrax dcx 400 D&D for PQ bandit
Since You got the old Alltrax software working, call Alltrax and ask them to email you the correct field map file for the motor.
The incorrect field map file loaded can definitely cause the lower top speed. |

Gonna try that today, I can't find a way to change the field map I assume that must come from alltrax

This is how you load the ".hex" field map file on the old DCX:
