Plum Quick Executioner
Okay, I was just looking at their site and it says the Executioner will get you up to 30mph with stock controller, etc. Is that accurate? Because if that is a simple swap out of the motor, it seems like a relatively easy way to add a bunch of speed.
Can anybody who has used one of their motors tell me what gains you saw and with what additional changes. Also, do these motors work with a DS Series cart? |

Re: Plum Quick Executioner
I put the bandit motor in my 03 DS series cart and with a good battery pack and stock controller I was getting 23mph without any problems. I use the cart on mostly flat driving so don't really notice a loss of torque but on the few hills around the house the torque loss was noticeable not so much now that I have the 400A upgraded controller.

Re: Plum Quick Executioner
The PQ Executioner will NOT work with a series drive system!
It will only work with a SEPEX drive system. I have one I sometimes use in my 2014 CC and with a Curtis 1268 I can easily run low 30's on a flat road. It is a good motor. |

Re: Plum Quick Executioner
What did you pay for that Rattlesnake motor? I don't see that on their web site. Also, do you think I'll be in the mid 20's without any other upgrades?

Re: Plum Quick Executioner
The Bandit motor is excellent for speed, but if you want to ride the streets, I would definitely add a 400 amp controller to the mix for torque. Mine does 30 pretty regularly and the most I have ever seen was 32. Even into the wind with four people, it does 26 easily with 22" tall tire.
See below for details. |
