Re: Club car precendent wheel adapter
Yes. Mine popped right off as soon as I loosened the bolt. It is a hexagonal stem not a serrated or splined one so there is less chance of it getting stuck. There is a sticky that talks about tips for removing it when it is more difficult. Basically, loosen nut a few turns and tap it with a hammer while you apply upward pressure with your knees to the bottom of the wheel.

Re: Club car precendent wheel adapter
Take the nut off, insure no corrosion (lubricate if needed), re-install the nut to just even with the threads at the top of the nut, stand over the wheel as if you were doing a dumbbell lift, reach into the center section or a good strong grip point on the wheel with both hands, and then SNATCH upwards and it will pop loose. I have done this to every one and never hand one not come off.

Re: Club car precendent wheel adapter
FYI - my Precedent was a bolt, not a nut.

Good notation and same principle with either style.
And tatgirl35, remember when you snatch it up, you are looking more for strength and power with the snatch as opposed to speed and quickness. |

Re: Club car precendent wheel adapter
I use a dead blow hammer instead of snatching it up with my hands. Usually one or two good hits from underneath will pop it loose.

I tried hitting it underneath the adapter with a rubber mallet, and it wont budge.

Re: Club car precendent wheel adapter
Try spraying pb blaster or similar penetrating oil on the splines and let it sit overnight and try again. Another trick is smack it on the side a couple times before trying to pull it off.
