Good point tag. Checked that yesterday when I switched out FNR switch. Looks like this controller must be bad. As a final resort I could put it in another working cart and try it, but these things are real PIA with no access panel. Thanks!

Also, this is a 36v cart. I suppose it makes no difference in test?

Disconnect the Terminal #1 from the controller and make sure You get +48v when the pedal micro-switch closes.

Disconnect the Terminals #2 and #3 from the controller and measure the resistance on those 2 wires from pedal up to pedal down.

FNR in Reverse = 0-2.5kΩ

Make sure you don't get any 0L (open line) on the meter after you hear the pedal micro-switch click.

Test 1: Have pack voltage at #1

Pack voltage is what I meant, so that is good.

Set the meter to resistance setting, use a 20kΩ scale if available.

The probes can go in either wire, You just need to make sure you see the range go from 0 to the max value.

Forward: 0=4.18

Reverse: 0=2.38

The high value should have been closer to 4,800Ω (4.8k), but it is pretty close and certainly enough for the controller to recognize a valid throttle.

It does look like the Controller is bad.

Just looked. Wiper arm not reaching top contact. I think that would explain 4.18 and not 5, or 4.8?

Yep. Power company, credit cards, etc. were dreaming they would get paid this month too!
