2010 EZGO RXV light installation
I just upgraded to the 2010 RXV from a 94 TXT. I'm looking to add some lights and voltage reducer. I bought the EZGO headlight switch to be mounted on the control panel and was going to buy a aftermarket light set. The set comes with a push pull on off switch which I do not like. The back of the headlight switch has a different connection that the push/pull switch. Has anyone converted this with the aftermarket set? Thanks in advance.

Re: 2010 EZGO RXV light installation
Sure - did the same - the pull switch just completes the circuit when pulled - a rocker switch between the centre tap and the other tap will complete the circuit and let the light shine - the ground wire here gives me a light on the switch when the circuit is completed

Re: 2010 EZGO RXV light installation
I ended up getting a different switch than previously planned. This rocker switch has three prongs. I can get the lights to come on but the light on the switch does not come on and vice versa. I take it that I need to ground one prong but where do I ground it to? Thanks

If it is designed to be a 12 volt switch it should ground to the - of your 12 volt circuit..

Re: 2010 EZGO RXV light installation
It is a 12 volt. So do I need to run a wire all the way from my dash to the negative on the battery or can I just splice into the negative wire in the dash? Thanks

Never splice into Factory RXV harness.
Ok to splice into Aftermarket wire harness. |

Re: 2010 EZGO RXV light installation
Its an aftermarket light system. I can run a new wire but it would be much easier to splice so I don't have to remove the whole dash, body, etc. Any advice on how to splice. I'm a novice. Thanks in advance.
