My cart wont move. Please help with troubleshooting
96 TXT series. 48v Most info should be in sig. Went for a ride last week. Normal on road cruising, brought it home put it on charge. My daughter went to drive it last night and nothing. Turn the key solenoid does click and when putting it in reverse buzzer sounds and sol. clicks. The only thing that was wrong at the time was my led battery meter wasn't working. It comes on with the switch.
Thanks |

Re: My cart wont move. Please help with troubleshooting
If the solenoid clicks when the pedal is pushed, the problem is in the high current circuit. The LED battery meter is most likely a separate issue.
Lift rear wheels off ground and put on jackstands so the half ton cart doesn't take off unexpectedly and run over somebody or something. Connect your DVM between the B- and M- terminals on the controller. Press pedal just far enough for solenoid to click. You should read full battery pack voltage. If not, use the Positive test lead that was attached to the M- terminal to trace the high current cables through the motor and F/R switch back to the main B+ terminal. |

Re: My cart wont move. Please help with troubleshooting
pack is now 50.7. indv batts are 8.4-8.3. Went dead again today. I had 50.7 at M- and B- like Johnny said. BUT I moved ( barely hardly at all ) the f/R lever and it moved. So I'm thinking that has gotten out of adjustment. Before I dig into that how does this sound and possibly being the issue?

Re: My cart wont move. Please help with troubleshooting
Being a sepex guy, I'm not very familiar with mechanical F/R switch assemblies, but I've heard they do get out of adjustment.
The cam might not be turning all the way to the mechanical stop and only partially engaging the high current contacts. The center nut might not be tight enough for good contact. The board the stationary contacts are on may be warped. (Heat damage) |

Re: My cart wont move. Please help with troubleshooting
In reading another thread I was wondering if it could be in the plunger ITS area? Also in Johnnie's first response he asked me to check B- & M- and the voltages should be the same... since they were what was my next step? I'm going out now to look at the F/R

Voltage should smoothly decrease to Zero. If it does, the motor should be turning or something ought to be getting hot. A lot of amps are going someplace. If it doesn't, either the controller is not getting the proper signal from the throttle or the controller is bad. |

Ok I'll try that. Hope it's not the controller cause it's not that old. Thanks
