1980s Cart Spark plug problem
Ok all you guys gave me great advice on what might be the problemsIve know alot now i could do any thing to this carts engine, thanks to all you guys ...So if your carts running fine and then just turns off and it cranks but wont start first thing check the seal on the crank by looking from the passenger side rear tire best place to take a look at it, if it looks good change your spark plug, even if it a couple of days old because that was my 2nd problem after i changed the rear seal it still woulnt start with the spark plug i had in it,i got a new one and it started right up the guy at Cycle Rider told me this happenes to spark plugs alot because of the oil mix they get cloged up from all that cranking without starting and wont spark up the right way,and yes im mixing it 128- 1 gal..So it was running fine until my son ran out of gas now it woulnt start once again now it only start with the choke half ways out so i took the carb out and found small piece of rubber or dirt inside the carb under#14 screw now it starts and runs just fine.Hope this helps someone
