Should be a stop switch terminal and it grounds to negative, motor etc. Did you look at these? http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...tml#post468377

Jadawg, chill. It's just the ground on the motor Scared me to until I found it. I also had a problem with the starter grounding to the frame, double check that. Also, check that you have a ground to the key switch. Lawn mowers were metal internal ground, that won't happen with a plastic bodied GC. You should have an external ground position in a six terminal key switch if necessary.

The switch should be grounded to the engine. Run a wire from the terminal to any bare metal surface on the engine and it should stop. (just to test until you get it wired right.)

Are you talking about the # 3 terminal if so I already have that one grounded. But maybe I will try it in a different spot. Thanks

there is a stop switch somewhere on the engine. (NOT the 3 terminal on the key switch) That needs to be grounded to kill the engine. Also, depending on the switch, #3 may not be the same as what they are showing in that diagram. It might be a power + or something else. Not all of them are the same.

Get out a DVOM and map out the terminals on the switch or maybe google the P/N and you might find a diagram.
