95 CC build
Just picked up my first cart the other day for $500. It's ugly but it runs. I've got some plans for it. Probably going to be a slow build due to budget but I'm looking forward to it! I have rebuilt a few atv's so I do have some experience. Here we go!

Re: 95 CC build
Engine was running rough. Took the carb off and found the throttle shaft completely worn out. So I needed a new one. My stock airbox is busted so I ordered the K&N air filter. I wasn't sure what to do about a choke though. I found that the John Deere Gator CX model has the same engine and carb with a choke butterfly built in. SWEET! Best part is that I have a friend that runs a dealership. He got me the carb at cost! I also ordered the jet kit from CPP. When the carb got here it already had a #90 jet in it. Same jet that CPP sent me. Runs awesome now. (except for the oil burning)

Cool deal on the carb. The blue smoke makes it look like you really spinnin' them tires!!!

Re: 95 CC build
I've got it torn down most of the way and getting everything cleaned up. Body is off to be painted. Engine is out and I'm in the process of cleaning and rebuilding it. Just waiting on the head to come back from the machine shop. Rings were worn out and the exhaust valve guide had somehow moved. Lower spring collar was broken and the guide was about 1/2 inch higher than it should be.
Got the clutch machined by CPP along with a few other goodies There was no cover on the electrical box when I got the cart so I decided to make my own. Turned out pretty good. |

Re: 95 CC build
Tires pull pretty good in the dirt!
Decided to change the color on my engine a little. I've got the engine in and running. Took it out for a test run today. No more smoke! Has more power than I expected. Life is good! |

What's the part number for that carb? Are you running the 290 or 350?
