Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
I think these in 2.5" would look good on the back of a DS....

Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
Reviving an old thread that might be able to help me (and others).
My winter project is a 1987 DS. Almost done with it. I bought fender flares, but for the life of me, can't make them fit / work the holes that are already there. Then I started looking at old pictures of my cart before I took it all apart, and it used to have the OEM flares (part #1013351) but they were trashed so I tossed them. Do I need to have the OEM flares (1013351) to be able to install the 3" fender flares that are aftermarket? I can't figure out how to get them flush, and now I'm thinking that I'm supposed to put these aftermarket ones over the OEM ones. Here is a picture of what I tossed: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ci9b5HX6v6AGWvcz6 Here is a picture of what I'm looking to put the aftermarket flares on now: https://photos.app.goo.gl/dYxgmpxjj4zMrYnDA Here are the aftermarket fender flares I bought. I know it says 93+, but when I bought them a while ago, I concluded it didn't matter (I could be wrong!): https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Thanks!! |

Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
After doing some more searching, it looks like folks are going with the flexy flare stuff.
However, if anyone got the plastic ones to work on an older rear, I'd love to know! Thanks |

Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
I have installed flares on my 87. They will not fit existing holes, had to lay them in the sun to warm up then make new holes. Definetly a two person job.

Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
Looks great! Makes sense. The existing holes are close, but would need some new ones.
I ended up ordering the flexy flare stuff. Should be arriving soon and we will see how it turns out. |

Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
Jeffbagnall, How did the flexy flare work out? I'm now in the same boat looking for a fender flare to use on my 86 DS. Thanks in advance...

Re: club car ds OEM fender trim?
I wanted some too but OUCH! $58 each?
I was thinking of using that rubber piece that goes on the bottom of a garage door,in place of them. |
