Default golf cart only goes for a hundred yards

I have a 93 electric club car. Mt problem is it will go for about a hundred yards then slows to a stop like the batteries are dead. If I let it sit for 15 minutes or better then it will run and stop again. Any suggestions will bw appreciated. Thanks Mike

Upgrade your battery cables. It sounds like it's going into thermal shutdown.

First check all your cables and make sure the connections are clean and tight. Usually a thermal shutdown will be instant....not slow down and stop. I bet at least 1 of your cables is getting really hot when it stops.
