Default 2017 precedent, I hate myself

So this 2017 I bought should have been good to go but I am replacing everything, and for that I hate myself and should have bought a new one.

Now on to my question, my front wheel bearings are next on the list, club car only has replacement hubs and not the bearings, is there a reason? Can I put just regular sealed bearings in it? I don’t want to use the factory stuff because they have failed all ready. Thxs!

I have replaced just the bearings, I don't remember off hand what the number was, but it should be marked on the old bearings you take out. Knock the old ones out, press the new ones in and you should be good to go.

In all honesty, someone abused it or had some faulty equipment. Those bearings should have lasted a long time, and definitely more than 2-3 years. I have sealed and open bearings that have been in service for many many years. j/s, that is a good cart so hopefully you will get the bugs out.

One of them binds when you rotate the hub. 6204-2RST is the pn.

NoleFan, it will be fixed once I replace everything lol. Thxs!

If you replace the bearings make sure you don’t forget to put the spacer back in the middle.

I dunno about hubs on the newer carts from the last few years, but when they first started using that hub design they had problem with the hubs cracking around the lug studs. Check them over carefully for any signs of cracking or distortion around the studs.

Will give a thorough look over, also found slop in the king pin so I ordered a new set of those.

Let’s recap, so far on my 2017 I have bought new batteries, new cables AND complete wire harness, new solenoid, Alltrax 48500, bearings, bushings, king pins, MCOR. Guess the motor will be next.. WTF...

David at Revolution carts (site sponsor) is a great resource for OEM Club Car parts. I have purchased most of the front end of the cart that's "used" new stock at considerable savings. The parts had been installed on a new cart at the factory and then subsequently removed for a lift kit.

Got a whole pile of them. There's no reason for any of you guys on this forum to buy "new" Precedent front end parts for years to come.

I would rather buy a used car and spend the difference in cost upgrading and end up with a better cart
