The resistor across the big terminals on the solenoid is fine. The “inch” that it moves is coming from power capacitors in the controller being charged through the resistor. When the solenoid is not closing the only power the Motor gets is from the capacitors which will give it a quick bump (moves an inch) then they’re out of power.

Check the small terminals on the solenoid to see if you have pack voltage present on both. You need key On, FnR in F or R, and press the throttle so the microswitch in the throttle clicks. This should send 48v to the small terminal of the solenoid. Make sure you have pack voltage present on both terminals.
There should be a yellow wire on one small terminal, that’s the negative that goes back to the OBC which is the on-board charge computer. On this cart The OBC provides the negative for solenoid activation and of the OBC has failed the solenoid will not engage and the cart won’t go. Jumper the yellow wire from the solenoid or run a new wire from that same terminal to the pack negative and see if the solenoid then operates. If it does, the OBC has failed and will need to be replaced, or get a new smart charger.
yeah i did the jumper wire idea and it fried the micro switch in Wiper.

You jumped the yellow wire from the solenoid to pack negative?
Yellow wire is the negative side of the solenoid coil.

You replaced the solenoid, did you install the diode on the small terminals with the stripe on the diode towards the White w/black stripe wire?
The stripe has to be on the positive side or it will fry the micro switches.

Ok OBC is bad for sure and i swapped the resistor on solenoid. Did the jumper trick from small yellow wire to pack negative and solenoid dis not engage. The bigger resistor gets reall hot on big terminals of solenoid. Still have plenty of juice in batteries. The motor is still engaging but is just doing the bump forward.
