Electric reverse question
I have a 1989 Club Car electric. Hate the backup sound, and the 1/2 speed. I understand there may be a way to disconnect that sound, and the speed governor ( or whatever it is... lol) so I have the same speed and power in reverse that I do in forward ? I live way off grid, so no danger to anyone if I can do this mod. It will just help make my day a little smoother...
Thanx for the help Jim |

Re: Electric reverse question
If it's a resistor cart: There is a cable that goes between the forward reverse switch and the middle (3rd or 4the battery) in your pack. Move the battery end of that cable to the pack (+). That will give you full voltage available for reverse. To kill the buzzer just unplug it. Should be under the driver's side seat post.

Re: Electric reverse question
Just to be sure: I found the wire going to a middle battery. Just a little unclear as to where ti move it to. Positive post of battery to the rear-left battery ( drivers side) ?

It SHOULD be the battery on the passenger's side closest to the front. |

Re: Electric reverse question
The way it is supposed to be is in the photos above. You can also look in the "stickys" to see a wiring diagram of how the batteries/wiring should be oriented. Look at them. Are your batteries situated that way? We can't see them.

Re: Electric reverse question
Be careful Jim, there's a lot of energy in there. You can't just "think" you have those cables right.
