Unhooked every thing off the black and yellow wire does the same thing I can unplug the speed sensor and the controller will come on plug it back in it goes off again I took the speed magnet cover with the three wires on it off my old motor and plug it in controller stayed on plug the one back up on th new motor goes off I can hook it up to the lap top and the controller comes on no codes showing up

It sounds like the speed sensor may be bad.
Is that what you are finding? Any obvious damage to the sensor? |

It may be something related to the speed sensor on that A4 motor, either drawing too much power or defective.
If You look at the Alltrax diagram for the Precedent, it shows the negative from the speed sensor going to pin #13, well that is not how the Excel and Eric carts are wired. The negative from the speed sensor as well as the black/yellow wire behind the dash share the same negative as the MCOR. Too much load in either one of those wires would cause an issue with the MCOR. If this was common to anyone that has that same setup, then just cutting the purple/white wire from the speed sensor harness and running it directly to Controller B- would fix the issue. If that is not common, then I would request a new speed sensor for the Motor as it is defective. |

The cap on the speed sensor was oily I clean it doing the same thing
