2008 Club Cart Precedent shuts down while driving
I have a 2008 Club Cart Precedent. New Trojan batteries, connections are good, I am getting correct voltage through out system from batteries to Solenoid. Charging unit works good. My issue is that whenever i am driving for longer periods of time (more of stop and go as in a parade) my cart dies. I have to wait a few minutes then the power comes back on and it drives fine for a bit. It is not the batteries dying as the gauge shows full charge. I am thinking that something is over heating which makes me believe it is the solenoid (it does click when i turn it on and off) or the controller. Any ideas what could be causing the cart to basically shut down and then a few min later it runs fine for a while then shuts down again. It is not the batteries being bad or losing power. Can a Solenoid simply over heat and stick like an old relay would? thanks in advance

Does the solenoid click when you step on the go pedal, or when you turn the key on? It should only activate when you depress the pedal. |
