Others will know but if it is a cooling fan then it likely will turn on and off depending on temperature..

I also comes ON regardless of temperature when the Armature current exceeds a certain value like 60 or 70% of the output, even if the output current only peaks there for a few seconds.

I was able to duplicate that behavior in my Precedent, but only if the key switch was ON before I turned the Tow/Run ON.

If the key switch was turned ON after the Tow/Run was ON, neither event made the fan run.

It must be a self test when the Controller gets all of those power signals at the same time instead of in the proper sequence.

Got it all together . brand new 8volts in it, took it for a spin down the road and its pretty torquey, got it to 29mph but it then hit a speedlimiter maybe? it fell right on its face .. is that a programming thing?

You may have hit the limit programmed into the Alltrax for max motor rpm so the motor will not get damaged.
Find out what the recommended max rpm is for your motor and you can check it in the controller.

5000 rpm with 12.3:1 gears and 25" tires = 30.2 mph

Makes sense, i just emailed Revolution so we shall see.. its a 2012 precedent with 23in tires and stock gearing.. it was still pulling pretty decent and it just shut down .. so i shall see

Ive never even peaked into the programming on one of these so this will be a learning experience
