Re: Precedent charger never cuts off
New Albright solenoid installed and it will still move with both small wires disconnected on the solenoid. Am I looking at a controller issue?

Re: Precedent charger never cuts off
Take a pic of the cabling at the solenoid, then the pack and then the controller. Something is amiss as the controller is receiving current from somewhere, if not through the solenoid....

Re: Precedent charger never cuts off
It is hard to follow all of it with the cross-roads of wires, but I do not see anything jumping out. Note- That should be a 470 ohm resistor there if you are using it for pre-charging.
First, is the cart actually running when the activation coil wires are off? Meaning you can get on it and drive it down the street and back? Or is it just moving a couple of feet and stopping? |

Re: Precedent charger never cuts off
I haven't tried taking it on the road, but it was a red flag to me to move at all. I tried it forward and backward for a couple of feet. Is that ok?

Re: Precedent charger never cuts off
Well the capacitors are fully charged with that pre-charge resistor installed so it will move with nothing operating the solenoid until the capacitors drain off.
I have a feeling that is it and we are chasing a ghost with this part. |

Re: Precedent charger never cuts off
You were correct, of course. Drove it a few feet and it stopped. Sorry Nole.
