And last pics of batteries... They had installed 8 6v and 2 of them were in the bed so I just reconnected them in the floorboard to get the bed off.

You have a Regen 2 cart there. What I would do is start with six brand new 8v batteries. If your current batteries were dry, the damage has been done, and they will not hold a charge and will drop significantly under any type of load.

Jack the rear of the cart off the ground. Clamp your meter to the small posts of the passenger side solenoid. Place run/tow in run, key on, in F or R. Press go pedal and read meter.

Go in the "stickies" and get the diagram for your cart. Start chasing down the activation circuit.

Key, Run/Tow, FNR switch. Also, I think the 48v negative comes from the controller to the small solenoid post on those carts.

Here are some things I've learned: someone grounded the charging port to the last neg (an additional yellow wire) I thought the obc grounded and controlled the charge. Disconnected yellow charge ground and now 0 amps on charger. Also, I've got 48volts at tow run, key switch but not FnR switch. Could the obc be bad?

Oh and the low battery light has never come on, but troubleshooting it's not the bulb, it works.

Couple things. I just re-read your first post. Are you sure this cart began life as a 36v? Does not look like it.

Also, what charger do you have and have you been using it?
