Lester Summit II mounting
99 CC DS.
Looking for some free real estate to mount my 650W summit charger on board. I don't have much room in the battery area without redoing a bunch of stuff. Anyone ever made a plate to bolt to the top of the front shock mount tower and mounted a charger there? Measuring, it looks like I can make it work. Thoughts on that location as far as the elements? I don't off road, and don't drive it In the rain really. Not sure how sealed the unit is? Any input would be appreciated. |

Re: Lester Summit II mounting
There were a couple of guys here who mounted the charger above the motor.

Re: Lester Summit II mounting
Sadly, that real-estate is gone for my voltage reducer and fuse box . Plus I really don't want to pull the rear body to mount it right now lol my only somewhat easy options are above front shock tower or leave it off board for now.

Re: Lester Summit II mounting
Just fyi that handle is removable, it looks like it will be in way of front cowl if you mount where you have shown is why I mentioned it.

Re: Lester Summit II mounting
At first I thought you were lifting the entire cart by the roof supports , then I saw it wasn’t attached on the front

Re: Lester Summit II mounting
Yeah, I have seen your mounting, looks good. Yeah, the handle is still on there as I've been using it as an off board. Cowl clears fine but I still plan to remove it. Just mocking it up.
