Cool! The part number on the box looks the same! Are you rebuilding a Topper?

That lens is spare parts for the two toppers I got running in 2016. Several of the clutch/transmission parts were shared between toppers and the golf cars early on, too. The motors even look similar and were positioned similar in the early models. It's nice to have a set of spares good for several different vehicles!

Here’s a quick video of me cruising in the Utilicar! The exhaust is a little loud because the cheap paper gasket that came with my top end kit blew out the other day. I have a new reinforced gasket from Vintage Golf Cart Parts ready to go in, but haven’t gotten it installed yet.

id resist running it until the gasket is replaced.

My primary drive is leaking! It started drooling some gear oil between the belt roller and the rear flange. That really sucks because I spent a lot of time rebuilding it with all new seals and o-rings. Guess I get to do it again!

I guess you mean the transmission front drive?
Yeah that stinks. Difficult to tell if its the big outer oring, or one of the two small inners. Clean all the oil up and then watch where the leak begins from. At least you can rule in or out the big one. (Well, I'm looking at my 66 parts book, I assume yours has 3 too.) When you get it apart, be meticulous ensuring the sealing surfaces are clean and smooth. Also file off any sharp or rough nicks sticking up along the edges that might catch an o-ring as you slide the assembly together.
My transmission, on the otherhand, has remained perfectly dry since I rebuilt it last fall!

(and probably will until it gets off my workbench)

Yes, the transmission front drive. It looks to be coming from the floating flange o-ring seal. The large o-ring cover seal is dry. I shall try it again!

Update: It has miraculously quit leaking oil. I thought maybe that was because I ran it out of oil, but no, it’s still close to normal in the drive. Hmmm. It was really cold out when it was leaking, so maybe things shrank a little in the cold temps and caused the leak? Seems to be okay for now. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Haven't we all experienced that?
