64v Stealth main solenoid problem
I am having trouble with an Albright Club Car SW80-1275p 48V solenoid on my 64 volt Stealth. From other threads I've read I am gathering that it is the "main solenoid". When I press the gas pedal it does not allow current to flow through from one big stud to the other.
I couldn't find an Albright so I ordered a replacement made by DB Electrical: (New DB Electrical Stater Relay 240-22240 Compatible With/Replacement For Club car Applications, Stens 435-459, Club car SW80-1275P, 101908701). The new solenoid is working, but only for a short ride. After a little while it will not allow current to pass. If I lightly tap on it, it does engage and will work fine until the next time I let off the gas pedal. Does anyone have a suggestion of what the problem could be? I don't know a whole lot about electronics, but I am wondering if the 48v solenoid is a problem on the 64v stealth cart? |

Re: 64v Stealth main solenoid problem
So there's an option to purchase with or without a diode. Any suggestion on if that is needed?

Re: 64v Stealth main solenoid problem
I have a diode on mine (48v). But I'm not qualified to answer.

Gone Wild Re: 2011 Stealth Apache 64v Solenoid issue 64v solenoids are available but I seem to remember your cart uses a 48 volt activation circuit. Do a search for stealth and I think you should find a diagram. Before that check to see what the voltage is going to the two small posts on the solenoid. If it is close to 64 it is wired incorrectly |

Re: 64v Stealth main solenoid problem
That is correct. I have 48 volts going to the 2 small wires for activation. The 2 lugs with nuts have 64 volts.
I did a search to see what I could find before my original post and found the diagram. It appears to me that mine is wired correctly. |
