Default comet clutch stuck open

I have an 84 ezgo with a comet duster clutch. This cart is new to me and i just finished the rebuild on the engine. The problem i now have is that the drive clutch is not functioning. It seems to be stuck in the open position and as the rpm's come up it does not close. I pulled the motor and cannot move the clutch in by hand either. any suggestions on freeing it up.

Are you serious? Didnt we all just go over that with you in another thread?!?

Did you try to sand of file the inner shaft like i suggested in the previous post?
Did you take the front cover off?
We Need INFO!!!

thanks ez-goingjon. pulled the clutch apart and the shaft was really rusty. mostly surface rust and a little pitting. polished it up and it works like new.
