Re: Chrysler ignition module and voltage regulator on g2
My igniter on my 1988 G2A Is bad. Reading the post in regards to using a Chrysler ignition talks about five pins. My igniter has nine pins and only seven wires. Will this automotive unit work in place of my nine pin module?

Re: Chrysler ignition module and voltage regulator on g2
I did this to my g2 last night and I am very impressed. My g2 runs better than it ever has and it was pretty simple.

Re: Chrysler ignition module and voltage regulator on g2
I purchased an old g2 from an auction as a non runner. Someone had cut out the old igniter so all I had was a bunch of wires. I did this Chrysler ignition installation and now it actually runs great. Thanks so much. The pic had me a little confused to start with, I thought it would be the module view but I think it's the plug view. I watched the video and figured it out, thanks again.

Re: Chrysler ignition module and voltage regulator on g2
This is what I have been looking for. Like the other poster said the attachment does not open. Is there a more detailed drawing on how this all hooks up I'm lost looking at what is shown here so far but would love to try it because I still have some sort of electrical problem with my G2 and would love to ditch Yamahas expensive crap. Thanks.

Re: Chrysler ignition module and voltage regulator on g2
Found this a page here that seems to have a lot of good info on conversions. Does anyone know how to tell if the g2 coil requires a ballast resistor or not?

Re: Chrysler ignition module and voltage regulator on g2
Also looks like the pinouts in the picture jims72 posted maybe from the plug end of wiring harness and not the actual pins on the control mod which would reverse somethings. Here is a link to another site showing a similar hookup.
