I'm trying to locate serial numbers or data plates on an electric club car vintage about 1994 or so. Would also like acess to manuals. Can anyone help me?

Re: Serial numbers/Data Plates
If it's a 2000 then it is probably 48 volts. Take a look at the batteries and count the water fill holes if it has three holes then it is a 6volt battery, if it has 4 fill holes then it is a 8volt battery. One other thing, they made some small changes in 2000. Does your cart have black or silver posts for the roof? Does it have a one piece backrest or does it have individual backrests? If it has black posts and a one piece backrest then it is a 2000.5 model.

Re: Serial numbers/Data Plates
Thanks for the information! IT looks like it is a 2000.5. Can teh speed be programmed on these? Also, is this a good cart for the mountains?

Re: Serial numbers/Data Plates
If your serial starts as A00 then unfortunately not. The DS IQ model can be. If you want more speed for not much money, I'd look into having the motor redesigned by Electrical Motor Products. They also have a nice selectable two speed feature for high torque or high speed. I'm going to send my motor to them soon.
