Cart charging but not running
Hi i have a 93 model 48 v club car cart.Bought it 2nd hand. When i got it the OBC controller was faulty and wasnt kicking in the charger.I replaced the part yesterday and now it charges but cart still wont go either forward or reverse. When putting cart in reverse it doesnt make the beeping sound either. Had solonoid under the seat on passenger side tested today and there was no issue there. Can you please help as i dont know what next to do

Re: Cart charging but not running
93 Club Cars shouldn't have an OBC, nor should they be 48v. So you either have something someone has converted, or your wrong about the year.
No beeping sound means you have a main battery wire disconnected somewhere, my guess would be the positive posts on the passenger side.. |

Re: Cart charging but not running
the one mounted on the outside of the frame rail pass side is the master......the other one is the reagan braking solenoid so that may be the one you hear clicking................jack the rear up and with a peice of 6 gage cable jump the large post on the master........it also has the pos cable from battery going to it.......................anyways jump the large post on that solenoid turn key on put in gear and press pedal if wheels start spinning you found your problem..........( very common ) now before you do this make certain your batteries are charged and all cables hooked up right..........post results...................................

Re: Cart charging but not running
Hey Tom , Spike69, sorry to interrupt , But help me out here.
A. If OBC was bad and replaced, Then charged , But one Battery wire was faulty, Why did the OBC allow the charger to come on or tripp off at 100% charge. B. I would have assumed even if the OBC allowed this, But Buzzer would not BUZZ until wire was fixed, and reverse Buzzer only needs 1/2 Voltage. That the battery(s) which was out of the circuit never received a charge. It would seem's the the pack Voltage would be a lot less than 48 Volts ? I also have a 97 48V CC , I am trying to understand hor these things work ? |

Re: Cart charging but not running
i, m assuming it wasn,t a battery cable that was broke but another wire hooked to a battery........i don,t know for suresince i am not there lookintg at it...........even with bad battery cable if you plug the charger in and it reads the minimun voltage or better the charger will come on.....it may not shut off but will come on......................don,t feel bad i,m still learning to here.........in no way am i an expert on these things........................
