Default g16 governor

I'm sorry about the question, I've read the sticky for for governor mod 5 times. I'm running 14 mph now, just put a zip tie on and running 23 mph. Is the zip tie trick going to get same perfomance as if I drilled it? I like the zip tie, cause I can cut it off for kids to play with cart. Thanks

If you drill it out,it will no longer work,it will be fully disabled,so the Zip-Tie is probably your best route, since you want the ability to control it when needed.

Drilling it out, won't get me any more than zip tie does, correct?

Even with a zip tie or the nut turned all the way in, the governor still has an affect on cart speed. When the arm is drilled out, the gov is fully disabled, and you will get a few more MPH. BUT you can easily over rev the engine going down hills or on long straights. No governor on the engine.

If kids are involved it's probably better left the way you have it now.

My governor is still zip tied on my cloned g14. I don't think it limits anything when done that way.

Doesn't it ever feel like something is holding you back? Like flat out downhill?

You're running the gas pedal thru the gov, like stock?

Same as stock. My understanding is the governor cut the throttle back when in use with both the stocker and the clone . The only thing with the tie wrap limiting either engine is my right foot.Am I wrong?

Zip tie should still be having a governor effect. It is not the same as bypassing the gov. Unless your governor is broken in the axle.

Does the governor do anything besides cutting back the throttle? Are you saying that it somehow slows the drivetrain in some manner?
