Unhappy 83 ezgo gasser rear seal.

My 83 ezgo gasser blew the rear seal out. Where can I get a new seal to replace the old one? Why do you think it blew out, anything other than age? It has back fired a few times. Any tips, or tricks would be appreciated on how to replace the seal. The only way I see feasible is to remove the engine and pull the clutch. Is there a special tool out there to pull the clutch that I will need? It wont start due to loss of compression on bottom side with the seal out but if I push it back in it runs like a champ until it back fires and pushes the rear seal back out.

Clean out the seal with clutch in place.
Try to clean crank
Put locktite on the seal and try some tools to push it into place
I've done this before and it worked
Sure beats pulling the clutch!

The back firing is blowing out your seal. It's caused by the throttle cable not being properly rigged. Go to post #5 of this thread. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...t-go-slow.html

The pictures show how it is supposed to look, and where the spring goes.
