Can you also change the outer seal this way as I’ve noticed mine has a tear in it?

There’s no outer seal. The seal there is the bearing they were talking about. If it’s ripped you should change the bearing

Sorry I guess it would be the inner seal where the shaft goes through. Is that hard to replace?

So there is a rubber transmission oil seal just on the outside of where the splined shaft goes through and the transaxle ring seal sits inside. I've noticed mine has a tear in it. My question to you is can you change this seal from the outside or do you have to split the trans??
