Default Re: Starting Problems Carb Maybe?

Thought I better let you know found the problem. It seems that a mouse had chewed one of the wires in half right at the base of the igniter ( least according to the manual print I think that is what it is called ). Anyway the mouse that did the dirty deed left about a 1/4" from the base so it was hard to see. It left just enough to strip and solder back together. Cart runs fine now. I still have the old carb on it so next is to see what is wrong with the new one. I cleaned the bowl today but I think I will go through the whole thing just to be sure. Man this is a great group and I thank all of you for the help !!!! I hope my find will help someone in the future. Thanks Again Dennis

Glad you found the problem, and it didn't cost you and arm to do so, I myself live in the country and had a few run ins with them little critters.. caused my truck not to start I was lucky to find the one little blue wire they chewed in half to stop my truck from starting, and on my equinox they caused a series of check engine codes to pop up, that one cost me a few bucks and a big headache.. take care and good luck on the carb.
