Default Crankshaft Seal Change 2 cycle EZGO

Can you change the rear crankshaft seal without taking the dang engine out? Looks like the rear seal is leaking even though I just rebuilt the engine. Ran like crap and a very hard time starting yesterday for my wife then a puddle of fuel was on the floor this morning. I'm guessing a fuel build up happened because of lack of pressure in the crank case and is leaking out of the rear seal.

If you can get the clutch off you can do it in place but I would pull the engine to do it. That way you can do a better job. Clean it good and use some locktite on the outside of the seal so if the cart backfires the seal will not blow out.
Also if the rear seal is bad I would Bet the one behind the flywheel is also worn

They were both brand new but the rear one did not look seated right when I put the engine back in, my mistake. I will however use locktite on them. That is a great idea. I'll pull the engine. A pain in the rear but I guess I have to do it.
