2016 G29 Rebuild
looking at replacing my motor, controller, and batteries in 2016 Yamaha G29/ Drive...
What are some of the component configurations you guys have done in the past? My cart has 6" lift with 23" tires and used 98% of the time on flat neighborhood roads but i would like to add some torque and maybe go from factory 15mph to 20. Anything over 20 and she gets a little out of hand. I do have a set of 1.5" spacers coming that will hopefully help stabilize a little. |

Re: 2016 G29 Rebuild
With large tires, I would go with a high torque motor. I have had good luck with D&D - and they have a good high torque motor. I have a D&D ES24-14 in my 2012 cart with high speed gears. I like Alltrax controllers. Lithium is the way to go IMO. Others have had good experience with AC drives - but I have no experience with them in carts. Worth looking into though.
