Default 83ish EzGo Gas Rebuild Help

Hey, Folks - Rebuilding a 1983 EzGo gasser. Motor was a basket case and needed a lot more work that i could ever imagined but this site has helped me maintain my sanity.

Well - There goes the budget.

So today's big question - Who has the spec / size for the crank bolt for the driven clutch ? I've attached a picture of the engine tag.

Welcome to BGW Answer 3/8-16X31/2 long. Be advised there is a cupped washer and lock washer installed on the bolt before installing it.You may get away with using a standard large body washer to take its place but it was formed to keep dirt away from the splines K.

Thanks for the tip, Lou.

It's an 82 engine going in an 83 cart i guess. Kind of a hybrid.

Anyway it appears that my crank bolt issue then comes down to the Comet Duster clutch that came in the box of parts. I seem to need a longer bolt.

Off to Nut and Bolt supply tomorrow.

So I got a bolt yesterday and just before I button this baby up can someone confirm that i have the clutch pucks in correctly ?

I'm including a before picture so you can see what I had had to start with. Apparently it had been used in a demolition derby .....
