Default Re: Axle swap, where to begin?

talked with tom,
ended up ordering 6to1 gears for the axle that is in my cart now.
he say's with the 6to1's, i should be able to achieve mid 40's for cruising speed,
wich is what i wanted........problem solved
right now this things winds up to redline in about 10 feet!!!
so this thing has torque to spare, hope there still some left over after i do the gears............

Just remember to take it easy in reverse with those 6:1 gears, i'd hate to guess at what the top speed might be that way!

So what are you gonna do with your new axle? I was gonna say do the axle and tube swap. Should be easy peasy. Unfortunately you are in uncharted territory and you get to be the guinea pig. Good luck buddy!

cradle and rear just a drop and swap. the springs and snubber all match up and the brakes connect up as normal.
