Found thrust washer missing in transaxel
I had problems with a 97 ds club car not going into reverse, so I took it apart to find out what was going on.
I found one of the three plastic thrust washers missing and a bad bearing on the synchronizer assembly. Replaced both parts and everything seams to be OK now. The synchronizer rings had some wear on them but looked ok. I am just wondering if I should be concerned about any other parts. Everything looks ok. |

Re: Found thrust washer missing in transaxel
I ran the cart for the day, I am finding it difficult to shift from forward to reverse, no grinding, just stiff. I find that if I shut off the engine it shifts easily.
Did I mention that this cart is a key start! Is it normal practice to shut off the cart when shifting? If so, I think I will try and change it to pedal start. |
