Re: Fe350 Drive clutch help?
Fairtax4me... I just saw this thread. Please feel free to send me a private message any time you have a technical question or need anything. I worked at an authorized Club Car dealer for 15 years before starting my own company, so I've been around them a lot. Just offering my services to you. I don't mind.

Re: Fe350 Drive clutch help?
Thanks! I'll probably get back into the carts later this week. Gonna get my hands dirty on a Polaris SxS tomorrow, after I finish up replacing the cam sensor synchronizer in a ford van (nightmare job).

Re: Fe350 Drive clutch help?
Finally got time to pull one of the clutches apart today. Had to heat the cover with a torch to get it to bust loose.
Dirty and rusty, and totally worn worn out inside. All of the levers were sitting in there crooked. One of them was seized to its pivot shaft. It wouldn't move at all. All of them have severely worn pivot bushings, and pivot shafts. The clutch buttons are also very worn, as you can see in the pic. Still have to figure out how to get the idler bearing off. Look like ill have to cut notches in it to hook a jaw puller on it. |

Re: Fe350 Drive clutch help?
Well... I stand corrected stating that all you needed was buttons!
BUT... it's still cheaper to rebuild, then to buy new! |

Re: Fe350 Drive clutch help?
I should have taken a picture of the pile of dirt that came out of it!
I half expected it to look worse than that inside. The cart is 18 years old. Only one of the buttons had the spring clip under it, so I guess someone has been in there at some point to put new buttons in. |
