Default Just bought 2003 turf 2 carryall

Just bought this turf 2 carryall
I have some fixing to do but know nothing about this cart
where does it show
what type/size engine
air filter to buy
oil filter to buy
Engine compartment is filthy best way to clean mud and dirt

Seems noisy but I'm used to my 48volt. Does the whole dump bed act as a noisemaker or should I look to the engine/ muffler

Default Re: Just bought 2003 turf 2 carryall

Did some cleaning with air compressor and brush and found engine bar code.
Couldn't see any of the warning stickers before either and there are a lot of them

Cart drives fine but has fairly loud noise that sounds like a bearing.
Sound increases and slows with engine speed

with engine off cart rolls forward and back with no noise so I don't think its brakes or wheel bearings

Anyone have any suggestions what to check next and how?

Well... I can't help you with the noise your hearing, but...

It's a 2003 with an 11.5 hp FE350
All of the tune up items (filters, plug etc.) are the same as the FE290 DS's listed in the stickies!

I've got a bad feeling about this

Put cart in neutral lockout and ran to make video of sound.
I think you should hear engine is quiet and when gas is pressed the Driven Clutch starts spinning and the noise starts

hope the upload works

I guess video didn't upload it was an mp4 9.5 MB file any tips on uploading

The Driven Clutch was just replaced by the previous owner
I'm sure when it spins the noise starts
Is the shaft its mounted on making the noise- bad bearings or the new Driven Clutch?

Now if I can fix the noisy new Driven Clutch

I downloaded the owners and parts manuals and was looking at diagrams to find driven clutch

You'll need to open a YouTube account (free)... download it there, and post it here!

It's hard to tell for sure but I think previous owner put the wrong driven clutch on it... That would explain a lot of the noise if that's a counter clockwise driven clutch! Can you post another close up pic of the clutch where the ramps/ shoes make contact with otherside of clutch?
