Default 2000 ds runs for 5 seconds then dies

As I said above, you back it out of the garage and it quits. Replaced, plug, fuel filters and lines, fuel pump works and there's fuel in float bowl. At a frustrating loss!

Hey Stratorooster... (sorry... had too!)
I don't mean any disrespect, but you have a few different threads on this same problem...
Okay... you've replaced the fuel filters, fuel pump, cleaned the carb, and still none of that worked! (did I miss anything?)

It's difficult to troubleshoot this via the internet...
the best I can suggest is to run it... and when it fails (in 5 seconds) IMMEDIATELY check for spark...
If there's no spark... you have a ground or coil problem...
If a good spark is there, but the spark plug is dry, your not getting fuel...
You've cleaned the carb, and cleared the main jet with a Dean Markley guitar string...
and yet, you still have the same problem?

Check for spark when it fails... if it still has a good strong spark... REPLACE the carb with a new one!

Looks like no spark. Do I need to pull the motor to remove the shroud that hides the coil? Where woul a ground issue for the coil be.

Before going through the hassle of changing the coil, you should check something...

It could be a possible rev limiter failure...

On the lower front of the engine you'll see a 2" X 3" box just above the drain plug, (rev limiter)
there is a wire coming from it that attaches to the left mounting bolt (viewed from the front)
remove the bolt, remove the eyelet from the bolt, and reinstall the bolt without the wire attached,
Tape up the eyelet so it doesn't ground out to anything, and just let it hang there.

While your working around the limiter, follow the other wire from it that leads to a banana plug(s),
check to make sure that the insulation on the plugs hasn't worn through.

Then test run it...

I have a similar issue. Cart has been sitting for 2yrs. Was working fine before it was parked. It idles perfectly fine(did the idle mod) but once the gas pedal is pressed it dies. If I take the intake hose out from the filter box and cover it with a sock I could throttle up. The cart will run/drive for about 2mins before it completely dies. Then will fire up again and repeat. I've checked the fuel lines and all. I'm thinking it may be bad fuel since their was a little of the old fuel in the tank and I just dumped fresh fuel before empting the old one out.
I hope theirs a easier way out. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just needlessly replaced the coil on mine and I can tell you YOU DO NOT have to pull the motor, remove the exhaust pipe and the 10 mm bolts partially out, the shroud is slotted so unscrew them partially and slide the shroud out. replace your coil slide the shroud back in tighten the bolts and your golden
