Default Need help

Installed a new predator engine got everything hooked up. Does anyone have the wiring diagram to hook the forward and reverse up. When it's in reverse and I pull start it, it moves backwards but won't do anything when in forward. There are wires that are not hooked up and I'm wondering if that's he reason it won't engage. Didn't know that it had to be hooked up and was curious if that's the reasoning it's not engaging. It has one red wire hooked up but nothing else. Help please!

Don't know about wires, thought shifting was all cables to the trans-axle.

Yeah I think I figured it out...not idle adjustment "screw" to idle down. It's revving so high it's engaging the clutch automatically. I did slow the idle down "manually" and it did not engage allowing me to get it into gear. Can't I change the clutch spring to a stiffer spring so it won't engage so quick??
