Default TXT reverse works but no forward

I have a 1998 ezgo txt 36 volt series drive. It will go in reverse but will not go in forward.
The solenoid clicks and was replaced about 6 months ago, along with the diode and resistor. I also changed the accelerator micro switch and inductive throttle sensor about 6 months ago.
All battery connections are cleaned.
Everything is stock/factory. Pack voltage 36.5
Worked fine until a couple days ago.

Any ideas what the problem might be?
Obviously the forward reverse switch comes to mind.

Since both the forward and reverse switches are the same, I decided to reverse them.
In theory you would think now that they are reversed, I would have forward now and no reverse.
However, that is not the case. I still have reverse and no forward. So I think both switches are fine.
Solenoid clicks in both directions.
Volt meter registers pack charge on both switches.

I really don't know what else to try.
Anybody have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Swap the 2 big cables at 9 and 3 oclock. if the operation is the same but the shift handle is reversed the switch contacts are bad and it must be replaced.

First let me say, scottyb, you are *** good.
I reversed the cables at 9 and 3 oclock position, like you said, and now I have forward with the cart gear lever in reverse.
So 1 of the 2 switches need replaced. I'll replace both.
Thanks for help so much. I've been trying to figure this out for over a week.

I think you are confused, you need to change the whole forward and reverse assembly, not one of the two micro switches. They have nothing to do with the switching process.

The micro switch(ms) on the drivers side is triggered in F&R - so the same switch is triggering the solenoid in F&R = not a ms problem but a high amp contact problem.

Hello all, I have gotten a lot of good advise from this site, so thank you for all of the helpful tips. I am helping a buddy of mine who has had this 36V EZGO txt sitting in his yard for over a year.
I charge the batteries, I get 38.6V on the battery pack
I get voltage at the F&R switch, controller and motor. but no movement.
The solenoid starts to click when switching from F to R.
I test the motor by jumping S1 to A2, put 12V to A1 and S2. Nothing. I call another buddy who I know has a spare motor. Not new but it turns when tested.
I had an old F&R switch, I have disassembles the one on the cart and the spare that I had, Cleaned them up and tried both on the cart. Same result.
Get new motor installed, runs in Reverse, only clicking in Forward.
I reversed the wires on the F& R switch from the 9 and 3 positions.
F&R handle positioned in the F position, the **** thing spins in revers.
We just want o go forward!!! And eventually reverse. Please help !!!
