Default G2 Backfire

My G2 backfires sometimes when coming to a stop. It runs good but cant figure out the cause. New fuel pump new carburetor, new filters gas and air. Any information will be appreciated.

On my G15, I solved it by:

1. Adjusting the cable to have the carburator totally closed a bit before the click of switch at the gas pedal when released;
2. Checking the air filter box is well closed.

Also, the butterfly adjuster on top of carb must be backed off all the way, then readjusted to just touch the arm on the butterfly. It just needs to support the butterfly, so it can't over time dig into the carb body.

How do you tell when it is adjusted properly. Is there a visual or a test? Thanks for your help.

Thanks Ill check the cable.
I put a new top and gasket on the air cleaner housing and checked all connections for leaks so I don't think it is a vacuum problem.

I usually already have the carb off, then I shine a flashlight through the carb throat and adjust so as little light as possible passes through. But if it were still on the cart, I would adjust like I originally said.

*One other thing to check. How tight is you drive belt? When you take your foot off of the pedal it kills the ignition fire -- if the engine keeps turning over it charges the muffler with fresh fuel and air mix. When you step into it the ignition fires and sometimes lights up the charge in the muffler -- kaboom. Just another idea. Also check to see if your clutch is opening when the engine shuts down.

Adjusted the butterfly closure. ANd I solved the dieseling with premium gas. It runs great now no issues at all.
