Default Re: 2002 Yamaha G22 blown head gasket?

Any idea where I can find things like head torque specs? I've been searching all over the place and haven't found any good information for the G16.

Blown head gasket was the culprit. One of the bolt holes in the jug is stripped and will need to be heli-coiled and I see one other has been heli-coiled in the past. Strange considering the cart hasn't had much use and you can still see the cross hairs in the cylinder wall. Will have to order a head gasket and a M10 x 1.25 heli-coil and throw it back together.

I like time sert better than helicoil, used them on a jet ski and still flawless.

Was hoping it was just a loose bolt but at least you found out why it was blown out. weather you use a helicoil or time sert either one should hold the recommended torque or 36 ft lbs... Let us know how it works out
