Default G29 jerky at top speed

So when we put the pedal to the floor every once in a while the belt squeaks a for a second or 2 then stops. Also once it gets to top speed it speeds up then slows down then speeds up. All relatively quick but just doesn’t stay constant speed. Any ideas? Clutch looks pretty Shiny. Didn’t know if I should roughen it up a little or what if it was a governor issue.

Which belt, the clutch or starter belt?

That is the reaction of the governor; plenty of threads on this subject...

I think it’s the drive belt. I will have to take a look at it. I’ll start searching for those threads. Are they under the gas Yamaha section?

It is the drive belt that is squeaking on take off when it grabs. Is it a belt or is that clutch too polished and not grabbing it.

Looks like belt is very worn out.

Pn "JW1-G6241". I would avoid cheapo aftermarket belts.
