Default Foot pedal micro switch

Could a bad accelerator pedal micro switch stop the solenoid from working?

Yes.

The pedal switch either directly or indirectly triggers the solenoid's activation in both series drives and sepex drives.

Thank you. The switch is not making a noise and when the throttle is pressed it stays in the position as if there is no spring. Shouldn't it open up when the throttle is pressed?

The N.C. (normally closed) contacts are used, so the lever has to be released for them to close.

The itty-bitty spring that closes the N.C. contacts may be broken, it is a fairly common failure.
