Total charge 3 charger question
Can anybody let me know where the red wire coming into the charger from the DC cord is supposed to attach? I believe it is hooked to the tab thingy inside the charger connector. Charger has several issues but it seems like this should be attached since it has a connector on it, instead is just tied around another wire. Help and an explanation of this wires purpose would be much appreciated. See attached pic.

The red wire is likely to be attached to the Auxiliary contact in the output plug, which makes contact with the outside of the negative terminal in the cart's charge receptacle. It is typically connected to the black wire from the control board, but if the black wire is connected to the ammeter, the red wire in the output cable doesn't have to be connected.
