battery meter
96 36 v txt dcs battery meter on in F/R goes out in neutral w/key off- normal?

Depending on how it’s wired it will not read in neutral. I.e. if it’s wired into the key switch wiring. If it’s wired directly to the pack it should not go off at all. When the cart is in neutral the signal for the key is open or disconnected. Hope this helps.

Sounds like your battery meter is tapped into the voltage path to the solenoid coil, which is highlighted on attached schematic.
