Verify that Pin-4 has voltage on it with F/R in R, but not when in F.
Then check the polarity of the controller's F1 and F2 terminals with F/R in F and in R by connecting a voltmeter across them. For example F1 will either be + or - when in F and the the opposite polarity when in R. In a nutshell, if the voltage on Pin-4 comes and goes when F/R is switched from R to F, but the polarity of the F terminals doesn't change, the controller is bad. |
