Ezgo Cushman Hauler motor?

Hello all,
I bought a used EZGo/cushman hauler last week. The next day the engine burnt out. So, I went and ordered an Admiral replacement with better torque (I live in a hilly area) and sought to replace it today.

Well, it seems the 29 spline shaft of my axel/gear box is 1.5 inches (bottle shaped) and the female receiver on the motor is 1 inch... So it won't work.

The motor I removed was a DV1-4001.. but I am having trouble finding a replacement. Suggestions?

P.s. I am very new, so I may not get all the lingo (also am just learning how to fix things!)
