i spent 6 hours today just building mounts for rear calipers. rather than getting up off a $100 for a good set that would take 25 mins to modify.

Wow...motor in, shocks re-attached...new cables connected...all within an hour...somethings gotta go wrong...this was too easy!!
Next up...controller upgrade...I'll start a new thread. I have a new (for me) controller...400amp curtis...here's keeping my fingers crossed... Thanks, DAn |

Did you check to see if the new motor coupler has the rubber damper/ bushing inside of it?

Did you use 2 wrenches to tighten the cable connections? Surprised onbody warned you of the hazzard in letting the stud spin & breaking off the connection INSIDE the motor

I kind of assumed that he did as he mentioned the use of holding the backing nut in his earlier post when removing the old motor but, you never know. I actually have several open end wrenches ground down to help with this.

Actually, I think I broke the old motor posts...learned my lesson the hard way. The new motor I did use two wrenches...much easier!
